this is what i have been able to find out. topdawg, i'm sure you'll disagree with me, but just hear me out. regions tried to commit to bama last week. saban told him to wait because we have some guys ahead of him on our board, and we're still evaluating others. regions took offense to this and committed to auburn. i'm sure he just burnt down every bridge to his "dream school" after calling saban a "vulture". he said saban was pressuring him to go on and commit and to not take any more visits. that's just a flat-out lie. saban has never told any recruit that.

You are right, Region was nowhere near the top of our board. Now on the other stuff I'll take Saban at the recruits word as all of our past recruits have not badmouthed Saban.

Shon Coleman wanted to commit to Alabama when he visited a few weekends ago, but saban told him he only had an offer if he didn't take his visit to Miami. So Coleman said he felt pressured, and decided to go to auburn because he felt the coaches were more honest. So I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happened with Region

this early on, saban has always encouraged recruits to take their visits.

This coming from a barner player? Of course he'll try to make Saban look bad. We had a scholly available, but the only one was going to Arie K. and NOT Coleman. Coleman couldnt come unless he walked on because "last scholly" was down to Stone/Arie K. and Arie took it. Both were ABOVE Coleman on Bama's OL board.

Maybe he's trying to make Bama look bad, but maybe just maybe he is telling the truth? I find it hard to believe that Coleman was below Arie K. and Stone on anybodies board. But of course that is always the excuse you guys whip out when a recruit turns you down.

You have no clue dude. Guru will even tell you Stone and Arie was WELL ABOVE Coleman on our board. Might wanna do your research before you type your typical b.s. Thats why that final offer waited until Arie decided. It was open to the first one that wanted to come (Stone/Arie) and when Stone didnt take it, it was Arie's to turn down and he took it. Reading might help, but then I remember you are a barner.

we didn't even offer coleman until a week before signing day. that was after we thought we had lost stone. arie was the #1 OL on our board. stone was also near the top. if we wanted coleman more than stone or arie, we would have offered him a lot sooner.

I'm listening to PFRN this evening and the aubies are in full force calling to say that Chiznik is beating Nick Saban's ass in recruiting. Are they serious? We won a NC and pulled a better class than the barn and somehow we are getting our ass kicked? One of the Birmingham related the Regions ordeal to Fort Sumter and called it the first shot being fired in the next recruiting battle. We will get our top 5 class regardless and we won't need a Big Cat weekend or Hummer limo to do it.
